I have seen Dr Odom on several occasions, by referral and consultation to correct mistakes and errors performed by another dentist in Cary who had his license suspended and he closed the practice. I had seen this other dentist for over 20 yrs and thought he was proficient. Much to my surprise, no X-rays had been taken in over 5 years and the hygentist had said everything was great. I was referred to Dr. Odom. After examination he felt that I had a cracked tooth that would require extraction, but it would cost some additional money to make sure. He made it clear he couldn't make any guarantees without the additional steps- but felt it would just confirm what he suspected while spending good money on a likely un-repairable tooth. LOVE this office!! Went to Dr. Odom for a second opinion today, (had a bad vibe about another endodontist I had a previous consult with). I was so nervous about needing a root canal and Dr. Odom determined I did not need one immediately, (which was great news), but now even if I do end up needing root canal in the near future I will definately be going back to this office...the staff and the Dr. are very polite, thorough, and knowledgeable. I was seen by Dr Odom for my 1st and only root canal and it was nothing like the horror stories you sometimes hear! Dr Odom and his staff were very caring & professional. All my questions were answered and my tooth now feels fantastic! I understand that people & teeth are different.....situations can range from good to bad, but I cannot imagine how anyone would've thought Dr Odom(or his staff) were anything less than polite, caring, gentle, informative, professional & overall "just good people".
Arrogant and condescending. Staff was aloof and cold. Look elsewhere.
Dr. Odom was superb. He explained his thoughts related to my problem and helped guide me with issues related to treatment. Despite being able to make more money by following through with a treatment, he referred me to another provider and explained a better course of treatment. He spent extra time with me to go through options. Very caring, understanding professional.
Unprofessional, Rude, Cares nothing for the patient, Cared nothing about pain management - care nothing about patients rights!!! Hates Northeners. Felt like he enjoyed the power and the pain that he could control!!! Do Not see this Dentist!!!!!!!!
