Dr Appiah was 1.5 hours late to my appointment, but I understand things come up so that was not my issue. This was my first time seeing her for my annual well woman check up, and she breezed in the room and didn’t introduce herself or the nurse and had me lay back and just started the exam. I felt so uncomfortable and like a stranger violated me because she was so rushed and did not take a single moment to try to let me feel comfortable with her since we hadn't met before. Dr. Appiah is the best I have seen. She treats her patients like family and will for sure take great care of you!
After thinking I’d been sterilized after my 3rd child, my husband and I were shocked to discover in the ER that I was pregnant. I was given an appointment with Dr Appiah. We discussed at length that I did not want any more children and needed permanent birth control. During my 4th c-section she told me she burned my tubes “ looks good and I’m pretty sure I got it all”.. okay, cool. Saw Dr. Appiah before I got pregnant with my son for just my annuals. When I got pregnant she was just as great if not better than before. She gave me all the worse case situations that could happen and what could not. She still remembers me by name as well as my mother and asks about her at every visit and my son will be 4 in February. Best female physician I have every had and would highly recommend her and Rachel her nurse for anyone looking for great care.
I have not had a doctor like Dr. Appiah. She is a wonderful doctor. I highly recommend her. She is one doctor that does not like her patients to be seen by any one else. You will be notify to reschedule ahead of time or wait if she had a last minute C-section or anything else. I honestly don't mind waiting if it's necessary and don't mind rescheduling if I can wait. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!!!
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! In reading these reviews, if you are not delivering a baby, FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR! In my first experience, I waited in her waiting room for over an hour and when I asked when she would available, her staff said "She will see you soon, she is backed up with patients". So, when she finally came and saw me, she terminated our visit because she had to leave and deliver a baby. Worst yet, the business office insisted I pay them for the visit. WE GOT NOTHING ACCOMPLISHED!!
Best dr i’ve ever had.. she was amazing her nurse Rachel was amazing she delivered both of my children. She was always understanding and so sweet. no complaints! ??
She didn't even tell me what I was diagnosed with, which is a horrific incurable lifelong condition. I found out 3 weeks later from the nurse. She didn't even bother to work with my insurance to get the meds covered. she prescribed second rate meds that don't work. No follow up for the chronic disease what so ever. Nor did she even care how bad my symptoms were. I called the office crying. The nurse gave me a referral to a specialist that can't get me in for 3 months. Negligent!!!
If you are postmenopausal, don't waste your time or money. She knows nothing about the symptoms and how they effect the woman going through this stage of life. Will be researching for a new physician specializing in this area.
