Excellent surgeon. His Physicians Assistant was the perfect complement for total care.
I had a total knee replacement with Dr. Hungerford. I would totally recommend him. He was very skilled and the surgery was very successful. His scheduling assistant was extremely helpful in scheduling surgery and answering all my questions before and after surgery. I feel that this office really cares about the health and welfare of their patients.
Topic: Compliment I would like to write that I am so pleased with Dr. Hungerford who did my hip replacement on January 29, 2018. He explained everything and assured me there wouldn't be any pain after the operation. I couldn't believe how great I felt during the next 6 weeks. I had absolutely no pain (just achy) and didn't need any pain pills, rehab or pt and after 6 weeks no cane. I have recommended your hospital and Dr. Hungerford to everyone that asked me about my surgery

Five years ago Dr. Marc W. Hungerford replaced my left hip, I was amazed that recovery was easy and swift. I was back to normal function within weeks. Six weeks ago Dr. Hungerford replaced my right hip. I am still in awe of the results. I am back to doing all I was able to do prior to surgery, but the pain is gone. Dr. Hungerford, Staff, Mercy Medical Center, thank you for your expertise and professionalism.
Dr. Hungerford did my total hip replacement ten years ago, I was in a car wreck that shattered my hip. I developed severe necrosis of the bone due to the trauma of the wreck. Dr. Hungerford took me in when no one else would help me and the surgery went well I was able to walk with a little limp...he has good bedside manner, not afraid of a challenge...I would recommend him. He definitely is the best. I've been to other doctors he really puts some of them to shame........
After what Dr. Hungerford did for me, I don't even know where to begin and five stars can't even begin to cover my experience. DR. HUNGERFORD GAVE ME MY LIFE BACK - - I'm serious. On the day of my surgery I hobbled - literally - into the hospital and two days later I WALKED out. Minimal discomfort with a very quick recovery time. Mercy Hospital is without peer - the nursing staff, food service, rehab therapists, blood techs, cleaning staff - everyone was caring, kind and professional.
I had a very difficult condition for which I had seen a number of doctors. Dr. Hungerford was the first physician to take the time to diagnose the condition correctly and explain it to me. His staff was very helpful and courteous. Especially Erica went above and beyond my expectations.
Thoughtful, considerate and extremely competent. His staff were top notch too.
