New to NC, new Darst Dermatology patients (Aug '24), my husband and I were delighted with OFFICE STAFF (ease of scheduling 1st appointment, no long wait to get seen, exemplary customer service in-person or phone and efficiency emailing us forms, etc.) DR. Should be arrested for what he did to a 3 year old child. Put acid bandaids all over and now she is covered with blisters. Told us it wouldn’t hurt. Didn’t give care instructions for home treatment.
I really appreciate Dr. Darst's comprehensive exams. During a recent visit, Dr. Darst spotted a suspicious area under my toenail, which had the appearance of a rare but dangerous toenail melanoma. A biopsy was negative, but I was glad he gave me a thorough, head-to-toe exam. Several months ago, my wife's dermatologist said something on her face was nothing to worry about. Beware of charges!! Paid in full and then the office sent me a bill. The office could not explain the new charges & told me the Doctor changed the criteria. I did not even see the doctor and had a normal visit. I can’t believe I’m expected to pay for something that cannot be explained.
I feel he doesn't have much respect for our time. Appt. at 9am he walked into the room at 9:47am!
I would highly recommend Dr. Darst to anyone with young children as patients. Every one of his office staff were nice, professional, and accommodating, from the ladies at the front desk to his assistant during the procedure to Dr. Darst himself. Although my child is pretty brave when it comes to needles, he and his staffs' bedside manner and friendliness helped eliminate any anxiety my child may have had before a minor surgical procedure. I would definitely recommend Dr Darst to friends.
Do not go to this Dr.! I just received my bill today and it was unbelievably high! I was not told of the charges up front and ought to have asked. One of the charges was for a consultation that I did not receive. He came in said hello told the nurse to numb up the very small area and left. He came back 10 minutes later took the very small spot off. Said he was going to send it to the lab and that I would hear back in a week or so. I was left with a ridicules total.
He if very knowledgeable and addressed the issue I have. Staff was thoughtful and friendly
