I had 3 inconclusive e Fine Needle Aspirations from 3 different MDs. All 3 FNAs were inconclusive. Dr. Gu saw why, fixed the issue on the spot, and successfully completed the FNA that 3 others could not do. Amazing insight, knowledge and skill. Forever grateful for her as part of my medical team.
I was in Dr. Gu's office for my second biopsy of a thyroid nodule. She has a calm demeanor and actually takes the time to ask probing questions and to listen to you. The actual procedure was quick and involved minimal pain or discomfort. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and even helped me solve a mystery regarding a chronic coughing condition I have. I really appreciate this doctor and highly recommend her!
Dr. Gu is brilliant, thorough, and caring. So thankful for Dr. Gu and her amazing staff in the community. Got results immediately and she had my doctor on the phone while I was in still in the office. I wish it was common for specialists to provide this kind of care and that patients get quick results because, as anyone who has had to have a biospy can attest, waiting and wondering is very difficult.

I needed a 2nd opinion on a mammogram finding and was referred to Dr Gu. Her office was efficient in getting me scheduled quickly and Dr Gu was wonderful. She took her time and explained the procedure every step of the way which made a scary situation much easier! I highly recommend her!
Dr. Gu is very patient and gentle. My thyroid biopsy was over in less than 20 seconds and I barely felt anything. Not only was it quick and painless but you also get your results just minutes later. If you get anxious about needles or having to wait for results, this is the place to go.
Dr. Gu did two needle biopsies on my thyroid. She was very gentle and kind and explained every step as she went. I barely felt anything and it was all over in a matter of minutes. After the procedure, she looked at the cells and came back in about 10 minutes with my results (good news for me). Her staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Gu.
Dr. Gu is so kind and considerate- she is quiet and confidence-inspiring... very gentle and skillful. I had two small-needle samples taken, and four large-needle samples taken. There was very little discomfort, and that was only from the underarm area which is extra-sensitive to begin with. I highly recommend her.
