My wife saw Profeta in the ER for a condition that was making her absolutely miserable. She’s had it before and knows what it’s NOT, after tests and biopsies. Asking zero questions, he concluded it was indeed that condition. He would not listen to further explanation, rolled his eyes and was very condescending, exhibited no compassion or curiosity. I realize I’m not a doctor and he is more qualified to diagnose something than me or my wife. However, he had no interest in hearing her experience that several other doctors all ... read more
Dr. Profeta exhibits an alarming level of rudeness and condescension, coupled with an unmistakable arrogance that leaves both his patients and staff feeling belittled. During my recent ER visit—which was already fraught with fear given the rarity of my situation—his demeanor was anything but reassuring. I was struck by how hurried and flustered he appeared, which only heightened my sense of discomfort. Never in my experience have I encountered a physician who raises his voice so frequently and without cause, directing his fr... read more
He should not be allowed to practice medicine. His career, ahem, I mean his farce, has gone on much too long. Instead of running the risk of this review getting thrown out from my specific honesty that would damage the character of himself and the hospital system he works for, all I'm going to say is, be very cautious and know you DO have a voice, if you are subjected to be an unwitting patient of his.
I have read many other reviews on different platforms of women patients of Dr. Profeta and their description of their experiences were the same as mine. I'll only say this, I wish for the sake of future patients of his that they are treated with respect, decency, and humanely, because that's not the experience I had. He doesn't care how well known your specialist is in his field and the validity with which they practice medicine in reference to the care you receive as their patient, because it's Profeta's opinion or not at a... read more
From the getgo, the level of care, compassion&overall bedside manner from Dr.Profeta was nonexistent. He scoffed&looked down at me, expressionless, robotic, demeaning&negative. His poor behavior, zero empathy&no care in the world attitude is not fitting for the doctor role.Fully aware of my disease&previous hospitalization results, he also treated me as if I was a drug seeker. After straight up asking him if that was what he thought I came here for, he deflected&didn’t answer the simple yes or no question. I was left in my room... read more
Dr. Profeta is a wonderful doctor. He got my son the care he needed for his spinal injury. I can't imagine how our life would be different with his help. We would probably be wheeling my son around in a wheelchair if it had not been for Dr. Profeta. I am no thankful for him and all of the caregivers at St. Vincent Hospital. Thank you, Thank you Thank You
Dr. Profeta was the worst physician I have received "care" from at any ER. His lecturing is unwarranted and he fails to focus on the actual concern which caused the visit. Then to write discharge to meet his agenda. Not professional at all! I will walk out immediately should I ever see his name again!
Unfortunately, I have had to see Dr Profeta in the emergency room more than once. I have found him to be exceptional in most every way. He has a quirky sense of humor which I also enjoy. Scoring for wait times, environment, scheduling, etc. wouldn't be fair as I have only seen him in the emergency room and those factors have been different each time and unrelated to my (or my family's) care.
