Good luck if you are in hospital and Dr Lim is the on-call Opthamologist and you get referred to him for your follow up. We called to make a follow up appointment and was told that the Dr would look at the referral only to have a phone call a few hours later from a different opthamologist (who was just as uncaring)making the appointment. Apparently Dr Lim doesn't like to follow up with his hospital referred patients, especially if he considers them to be a complex patient.
Dr Lim performed cataract surgery on both my eyes in 2018 and 2019. I was a public patient so he had no time for my questions and did not understand the need to address my fears. He treated me like I was just a thing on a factory assembly line that needed to be processed quickly. He also made lots of promises about improvements I would experience after surgery that weren't true. I've had ongoing issues with my eyes since. Not impressed.
Dr Lim and ALL his staff provided me with the type of care, support and assistance which is beyond my ability to express my appreciation. From my first consultation, throughout the entire procedure and the post operative reviews I ALWAYS felt that I was in the BEST of hands. My new lenses have improved my sight beyond any expectation I had prior to the surgery.
