Dr. Birkmann is beyond Amazing! I was suffering from constant numbness and tingling back in Feb 2014 after a slip that led me to being diagnosed with MS. He listened to my problems and helped to identify the proper testing I needed to get. He was straight forward yet respectful, which I appreciated, because I don't like "beating around the bush" type visits. Thank you so much Dr. Birkmann for helping me to be able to live the best life I can after such a scary time.
Horrible bedside manners. Acted like I was wasting his time. I could barely walk and he said it was depression!! I had to go to Omaha to get decent help. Birkmann missed encephalitis. Oops.
I had had what I thought was a headache for 18 yrs and was given different types of pain meds but my headache never left. Dr. Birkmann figured it out!! He has good bedside manners and a good sense of humor.
I HAD A BALANCE PROBLEM SEVERAL YEARS AGO. I HAD VERTIGO AND WENT TO DR. BIRKMANN. HE HAD ME WALK DOWN THE HALLWAY AND SEE HOW I WALKED. MY WIFE AND I WERE VERY UPSET WITH HIM BECAUSE WE ALREADY KNEW HOW I WAS WALKING. HE DID NOTHING MORE. HAD TO GO TO A SPECIALIST IN OMAHA TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM.MY DOCTOR TOLD US ,IF YOU DON'T LIKE HIM, YOU WON'T LIKE ANY OF THEM ,BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL TOGETHER. THIS IS VERY SAD THAT A TOWN THE SIZE OF LINCOLN HAS TO SETTLE FOR THIS.MY SON WENT IN LAST WEEK--SAME
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! VERY RUDE!! ACTED LIKE WE WERE WASTING HIS TIME. TIME TO RETIRE DOC!
My daughter has seen Dr. Birkmann for 5 years. We are very impressed with the treatment and kindness this man has shown our daughter. He is always willing to listen and discuss ways to improve her care.
