I was a patient of Dr Kitchen from around 2001 to 2017, he retired in 2019. He is an awesome optometrist, very knowledgeable about optometry tech, great bedside manner, and I always looked forward to seeing him. Every visit was very professional but also laid back and enjoyable. For me, it was like going to see your best friend. I was heart broken to hear that he had retired a few months before I was going to make an appointment. I didn't even get to say goodbye. Good luck to you Dr Kitchen, I will miss you. GO COUGARS!
I haven't had my eyes checked in a few years, but I went to see the optometrist at Tech Ridge Vision. I wasn';t surprised to find out I needed a stronger prescription. Other than that everything went smoothly. I was impressed with the upbeat people that work there. I realize people have bad days here and there, but it's a sign of quality customer service when everyone in the clinic is pleasant. Also they have a good selection of frames to choose from.
As is normal with small children, my kids are never short of questions when presented with new situations. Dr. Kitchen and his optometrist office were so patient and genuinely interested in explaining what they were checking for, how they check, and how the instruments worked. It was nice to get all the appointments done in one visit too!
Dick Clark of Eye Doctors! I first went to Dr. Kitchen when I was 12 yrs old, I am now 58, and still think he is great! I moved to Buda, and he moved to Round Rock area, so I have had to go to another doctor. I recommend him to anyone, as I always told him, he is the Dick Clark of Eye Doctors!! This man is ageless!!
