If you have complicated or difficult foot problems, go elsewhere. I had one pair of orthodics that were done well, and after years of use needed a new cover. His lab tore apart and “re-did” the orthodics! Rather than send them back to the lab, Vekkos was confident he could repair them. 5 months later not done. When I needed emergency care they didn’t respond. Poor service and little to NO response
I had a bunionectomy with Dr Vekkos. Although he is caring and compassionate I had a bad result-the bone broke during surgery and I had nerve damage in my ankle that now prevents me from driving. I have since heard one should see an orthopedic surgeon for something like this.
Do not trust this doctor! He will recommend unnecessary surgery to a child to make money!!! Like he suggested to my 7 year old. After I left his office I had a terrible feeling... So I read other reviews online and I had goosebumps... My daughter's foot healed just fine with no intervention! Because it was not needed! The recommended treatment was absurd, to keep the wound wet for 5 days and then come back for a surgery! He suggested payment plans right away... Spooky!
