We were referred to Dr. Turtel by a friend after the first pediatric ophthalmologist we visited left us with little to no answers. I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Turtel and his staff. We first visited him when my son was 2 months old. Over the course of the next year he worked through numerous treatments to improve his eye sight, eventually performing muscle surgery on both eyes. Our little boy is doing great and thriving! We owe a ton of thanks to Dr. Turtel and his team
According to Dr. Turtel, my eyes are healing perfectly, and that's all thanks to him. For the longest time I thought something was going on with my left eye, and as it turned out, it caused me to have double vision. Dr. Turtel was able to perform surgery on both of my eyes to fix the crossing issue, and I no longer have the double vision. I definitely recommend Dr. Turtel!
Dr. Turtel did a double eye surgery on my 1 year old who had "lazy eyes". He made sure he went through all other options before cutting her eyes. We get nothing but compliments on how great her eyes look. They are beautiful! We are very grateful we found him. I would recommend him to anyone who needs surgery done, children or adults.
My daughter started seeing Dr. Turtel in January. Her vision in her right eye was almost perfect, but her left eye was 20/100!! I had no idea her vision was so poor. I felt so bad that it took me almost 7 years to figure out that my daughter could hardly see out of one eye. When she first started seeing him, even with glasses on, her vision was only 20/60. We have been working with Dr. Turtel for almost 10 months and her vision is already 20/30+! He is the BEST and he is so GREAT with kids!
My daughter just had eye surgery on June 22,2018 with Dr,Turtel I felt like my daughter was in good hand . It’s not easy to make that decision for surgery , but it was the best thing We could have done for her. She’s 22 months and just started to walk about three week prior . But was very unstable due to her double vision. I would recommend Him 100% . Great Doc
I am 48 years old, and my regret is that I didn’t find Dr. Turtel sooner. My left eye turned in a great deal, and I’ve had double vision for many years. I had strabismus surgery. I can see straight again, and I can’t tell you how it’s changed my self confidence in my appearance. Dr. Turtel has really changed my life. I can’t thank him enough!
My son was born as a premie with a lazy eye. He has had two surgeries to correct this condition, the most recent in July of 2017 with Dr Turtel. We were extremely happy with the results achieved by Dr Turtel and feel that Dr. Turtel made the entire experience easier. He is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything to you in detail. We would most certainly recommend him to family and friends!
Dr. Turtel did an amazing job on our 2 year old daughter’s surgery. Spoke to use prior to the surgery about what to expect and came to update us immediately when the surgery was completed. Checked in again before she was discharged as well. The procedure itself was flawless, hours later you could barely tell her eye was operated on. Very kind and patient Doctor. Highly recommended him!
After experiencing double vision over 5 years and finding it getting progressively worse the cataract surgeon I used recommended I meet with Dr. Turtel for discuss strabismus surgery. It was the best thing he had done for me. I met once with Dr. Turtel to get an evaluation an his recommendation. Although he did not pressure me to opt for the surgery I chose to get it done rather than go through increasing the prisms in my glasses. It was a great decision - surgery awesome and successful;!
