I am a very picky specialty surgeon myself. When a family member was found to have a thyroid nodule I knew who to call first. Dr. Lauren Ficks is the very best Endocrinologist. Her advice was 100% accurate and her ability to relate to the non-medical family member (her patient) was excellent. She is a true gem and the Santa Barbara / Los Angeles communities are lucky to have her. I can give no higher recommendation to any colleague, and I know who is the best in each medical specialty. Dr. Ficks gets FIVE STARS!
