Being involved with pediatrics takes a special type of person such as Dr. Hattar, she is amazing! Took her time to listen, explain her thoughts, answer questions, and ensure understanding. Thankfully due to her we finally have answers, diagnoses, but mostly long awaited treatment.
The procedure Dr Hattar performed was very quick and she did very well. Hospital got us in and out quickly and easily for procedure day. My complaint is that she is a impersonable doctor. She treated us condescendingly and unkindly. We took our own time and money to visit her and see if she can help our child and she acted like we were wasting her time and we didn’t know anything about why we were there. She was not understanding about our concerns.
She diagnosed my son with celiac disease when he kept vomiting with no earning
Our first visit was great.. nice, compassionate made us feel like we might actually get some answers. After the procedures and clean scopes when she came out to tell me in the waiting room she kept pushing “stress”… why? Because my daughter is a teenage girl in high school??? Asked if I had any questions. After talking to several moms of kids with JIA another condition was mentioned repeatedly so I asked about it. She was very rude and said my son had mental and emotional issues not stomach issues before she even examined him or asked about his condition. She refused to answer my questions and ended the visit abruptly. Also we arrived 30 min early and still had to wait an hour to see her without an explanation or anything. Would not recommend to anyone, especially children!
My son has been seeing Dr. Hattar for a few years now. She is an amazing listener. Very compassionate and kind. She has an abundance of knowledge on pediatric gastroenterology, and she explained everything to us in an easy to understand manner. . She worked through all my sons problems which included food allergies, GERD, and encopresis, until we found our new normal. We are very grateful to have had Dr. Hattar!

Dr. Hattar has been following my son since he was a baby. He suffered from milk allergies and GI sensitivity and Dr. Hattar was very thorough investigating the causes and developing a plan for us to manage his diagnosis effectively. We have been very happy to be under her care and how approachable she is.
