Dr Smoot is a very Knowledgeable and friendly doctor. Very professional.
Gaslighter. Dismissive and treated me like a drug seeker “just tell me what drugs you want and I’ll prescribe them“ thankfully I had the determination to question his judgement even though I was only 22. His mistreatment and lack of care delayed treatment of my MS by 7 years. I presented with symptoms, lesions and a family history and I was treated like a wacky kook. Seek treatment elsewhere, if possible. He’s probably fine if you’re an older rich white patient with fancy insurance.

After being gone from the NW for 3 years and receiving poor MS care in AZ & CA, Dr Smoot was highly recommended. I am so Grateful to be under his care now. The ironic part is he knows the MS specialist I had in Seattle! He is kind, patient, thorough and attentive. He called me to interpret a message I received from him. THAT was impressive to me because he cared enough to put my mind at ease about my misinterpretation. His staff if is wonderful too.
Dr Smoot has been attentive and proactive in addressing new neurological symptoms. I appreciate his holistic approach and measured approach to diagnosis. He ensures I have a thorough understanding of medical terms and has excellent communication in all areas.
