After two visits over the course of six months was left with same initial symptoms. Was told if it still hurts come back and we'll do an MRI. Two broken bones had healed but foot felt same. Told him it hasn't changed and hurts right then but just received basically a should shrug. Will be going going to a different Dr who is willing to do an MRI and figure out what else is going on in my foot.

I came to Dr Hort with a Lis Franc injury in December 2018. He performed surgery and within two months, one of the screws was backing out of my foot. Because he released me to return to work too early (although I told him numerous times I felt pain and discomfort), i lost my job, as well as my insurance. I worked for three months with a screw extracting from my foot more and more everyday, until my new insurance kicked in for me to have another surgery to have the hardware removed. By the time my insurance kicked in, the scr... read more

Dr. Hort repaired a broken fibula for me with a plate and 10 screws a year ago. No issues with my ankle. He did a great job and took care of me. I would recommend Dr. Hort for any feet / ankle problems.

Excellent surgeon. Had extremely large bunion. He explained everything very well and the pluses and minuses of each approach. Surgery was perfect and I felt well cared-for throughout the rehabilitation. Rich and Nick are also terrific caregivers.

I had terrible bunions on my feet. So bad, in fact, that almost all shoes hurt within an hour of wearing them. My friend had them too (not nearly as bad as mine) and swore by Dr. Hort. All I ever heard before was that it was a painful nightmare! So, trusting her, I went ahead and saw him. He was kind, attentive, and took a lot of time explaining my options. The surgery was flawless, and his follow-up visits were good. I wish I had done it sooner. He did such a good job. Highly recommend!

64 year old wife emergency returned from grandchild visit when knees gave out. Years ago told to suffer until you can't anymore. That time had arrived. Dr. Hort said she was too young, prescribed insertion of gell between parts, something that takes a compounding pharmacy. It took 52 days for the prescription to be filled thanks to the ineptitude of Orthopaedic non-caring 'front office'. had to 'kick start' process three times after 'problems' rejected set aside ignored. PA did ALL

Business response:

So glad to hear that your wife received the prescribed medication, even with the delay. Oftentimes, it takes a while to get specialty compound medications approved by a patient's insurance carrier. At OASA we do our best to meet the needs of all of our patients. Our staff spends an inordinate amount of time on the phone and faxing insurance companies so that the patient receives the medication they need.
