I was asked to arrive 15 minutes early to check in, and when I showed up, I was the only person in the lobby yet nobody helped me get started with paperwork. The office itself is incredibly outdated, smelled very unpleasant, and looked very unkept. If the front office looks this neglected, how can patients feel confident about the cleanliness behind the scenes? The overall environment was uncomfortable.
The initial consult in October went well the PA & Staff were friendly. They scheduled my procedure handed me instructions and advised their Pharmacy vendor would be in contact with me prior to my appointment on 12/19/24. I never received a call from the Pharmacy vendor so I reached out to them directly on 12/6/24 to check status on the delivery date of my prep kit only to be told it was not covered by my insurance the cost is $150.00. Island View Gastroenterology has disclosed my personal information to ACCUHEALTH for remote monitoring services that I do not want or need. Now they are marketing their services to me saying it is a "doctor's order". This is a violation of my privacy. I do not trust them to keep my records private. A gastroenterology group does not need remote patient monitoring in order to provide their service every five years. This may be a scam on Medicare.
Dr. Lyche and his MA Kathy have been absolutely wonderful to me. I have been Dr. Lyche patient for over 25 yrs. There has been many office visits, procedures and numerous hospitalizations over the years and Dr Lyche has always been there when I've needed him. Kathy always is helpful and responsive.
