I was admitted to Inova-Loudoun in May with stroke symptoms. The various doctors were showing up and prescribing things and all said Dr. Rana was working behind the scenes as the neurologist on my case (I'd never met of heard of him up to that point). He finally showed up in person on the 3rd day of my stay. He'd allegedly been orchestrating my care but when he came he asked me a bunch of questions that suggested he knew next to nothing about my condition. Dr. Rana saw me in the hospital and if I had known I was going to be billed out of pocket for his shoddy unnecessary services I would have refused but I was incapacitated at the time of service. He then bills me months later for emergency services as if he saw me in his office. When I spoke to his secretary about the bill she tried to argue with me and say doctors work too hard and are underpaid. Cry me a river he is a specialist. Dr. Rana was knowledgeable, thorough, and personable. Highly recommend if you seek a brain doctor. I am in good hands.
Dr. Rana saved my life in the ER. He discovered a brain tumor that caused me to have seizures and put me on an antiepileptic. I have had surgery now so I am fine but were it not for his skills and his persistence in figuring out the problem then I would have never been diagnosed.
This doctor is a quack. All he will do for you is give you pills. We've been trying to get in touch with him for the past month to get medical records for disability. We have left messages and it looks like others have to because now the message board is full. I went in and they gave me the run around telling me they didn't know where he was at and the has many offices and they didn't know where my medical records were.
My favorite thing about Dr. Rana is his way of explaining things! I noticed he gives attention to details and is always conscious and aware of how I was feeling, making sure I was comfortable and understood everything. I definitely also trust his judgment. Would recommend!
