I was admitted to Sibley JH recently for a week with Double Pneumonia. Because Dr El-Shami is my oncologist, he was very aware of my pneumonia & told me he knew every time they even took my temperature. He showed he really cared & stopped by even when he was not on call. What a warm & caring doctor he is!
Truly an Angel, he is the best doctor around, my husband recently diagnosed and Dr. El-Shami has been nothing but persistent in making sure that my husband is comfortable and has the care that he needs to fight the fight. He is one-on-one hands on with him and that is a HUGE blessing. My husband is not the talking type but he and Dr. El-Shami has a great understanding. with Men sometimes they don't like medical professionals but this was destined to be.
