It was amazing. Dr. Hunger saved my life, I was so alone down here in Fl. no family or friends, stage 3 breast cancer. The first time I met him, He Prayed over me! as I am not religious, I was sort of worried that I might not make it. Not only did he make me feel I would, but he also gave me hope. Dr, Hunger is absolutely the best. My husband was the patient and I the spouse. He treated us as being of his utmost concern. Great eye contact, personable yet still the total professional. He and the entire staff at the Fleming Island branch of Cancer Specialists of North Florida are to be commended as being professional yet so very caring. I have been going to see Dr. Hunger for many years. I have a blood disorder that needs treatment that I wouldn't trust anyone else with. He is amazing. And like others have said, the fact that he asks if he may pray for you, your family and God's healing of your illness is certainly heartwarming. he is truly a blessing! Sometimes I hate that I only get to see him once a year now!! :)
Dr Hunger knew exactly what I needed to put my B-Cell lymphoma in remission.I was diagnosed by VA but unable to get treatment in a timely manner,my daughter contacted Dr Hunger’s Ofc.and they said they would see me as soon as I could get there from Tn.Got here on Jan.7and was scheduled necessary things to start Chemo on the 11th.All of the staff were very helpful and caring from Reception,education,lab tech.drs.staff Jodie,Allison,nurse Corrine and Kelly that did such a great job admin.drugs.
Dr Hunger is the most awesome, encouraging, compassionte doctor my husband and I have ever encounted, not only is he profound and prollific in his field of medicine, but his strong faith itakes him to an even higher level. I say this because he not only prays for the healing of his patients and the welfare of the family, but he also prays that the medicine will do what it was created to do. To God be the glory for this annoited servant of His.
He was a compassionate listening Doctor, however, the office is unable to handle the phone traffic of 1 patient. I have called 3 times and stay on hold with a recording 12-15 minutes before I hang up waiting for services. Still trying to reach office as they called back , but, are not answering phone in a timely fashion.
If it wasn't for Dr. Hunger I wouldn't bother going to CSNF. He is is such a good Doctor that it's worth dealing some of the other employees at that office. Dr. Hunger is caring, compassionate, and has genuine concern for his patients. I can't say enough good things about him. I have a rare form of cancer and I'm comfortable with his level of knowledge and understanding of what I have. I would recommend Dr. Hunger to anyone but not necessarily CSNF. I feel that they over charge and are ruthless
