After two visits with pain in my right foot, I received no help from Dr. Steffen. He pawned me off to a therapy clinic. I went to Walmart instead and bought, after testing, Dr. Sholls inserts and am now doing fine. May I add that the billing was quite heavy for getting nothing in return. He is worse than the other one. Cannot recommend this doctor.
I just want to add to mine. My doctor wanted me to go to an orthopedic surgeon for a second opinion and I went to a very well known one. He checked out my ankle and said what Dr. Steffen wanted to do was the right thing and he is the best around to do it.
I went to him for a specific pain in my right foot. He didn't focus on that pain, but rather an old injury of a broken toe. He wanted to do surgery...I declined. Just as the visit was over, he told me I could tape the toes if they ever hurt. He snipped a small piece of athletic tape and put it on my toes. For this 30 sec. event...he charged me $314.00. He didn't tell me this cost was above the regular visit. I tried to talk to him about the charge and he refused to see me.

Dr Steffen does not handle the billing. Our prices are Usual and Customary as most Podiatrist in the state. The Administrator did talk to this Patient and explained the charges.
