To be honest, there were times when I faced difficulties communicating with the doctor but I have overcame that. As I am someone who enjoys talking about the future and my career, he communicated thoroughly with me about it. He gave me advice for what I should do and I extremely appreciate it. After over 10 years with this doctor, I’m relieved to be moving on. A while ago at my check-up, he offered unsolicited advice about my future career that felt intrusive and condescending despite me trying to switch the subject MULTIPLE times. A month ago I booked an appointment to get a shot for my summer job. I arrived to my appointment at the provided time. Dr Wong is the family doctor of our little boy for almost a year. He is great and patient. Nurses are also friendly and helpful. Recommend for everyone looking for pediatrician.
Dr. Wong is a fabulous doctor. He is very personable, kind and attentive. We’ve had him as a pediatrician for all 3 of our children and couldn’t be happier. His office is very accommodating and goes out of its way to help kids and the families. We feel very lucky to have a pediatrician that has a patient focused practice; it reminds me of the days before HMOs when doctors had more autonomy and could focus on practicing medicine.
Dismissive and condescending, *especially* regarding mental health. Lacks empathy, makes it very difficult communicate to reach out for help when needed on the patient’s end. What kind of doctor guilt-trips a patient when they’re going through a low point in life and doesn’t know what to do? If a doctor doesn’t even listen to his patient’s words and guilt-trips them for their mental state, he is NOT the right person to be working with for psychiatric care.
