My wife and I have been going to Dr. Kiser since 1983 and we have had the best experiences. He takes care of all of our health needs and coordinates with our other doctors. He's like a small town doctor in big town, a breath of fresh air.
Horrible personal experience by our family with this guy. Will never use him again and would never recommend.
He wouldn't see me.All I have is a light cold. I find it odd because he has been treating me for the same things for 17 years. His receptionist told me that they have been sending people to the local Urgent Care to get COVID-19 tested, and then she said that I might as well just get treated for whatever it is there. So does that mean he is going to retire or something? He’s a doctor and can’t see sick patients? I’m sick and I have to prove that I’m not sick. What does he do all day in there if there are no”sick” patients to ... read more
Called telehealth today and was very lucky to get dr kiser. Cheerful, kind and took the time to listen and go over my health condition. Best telehealth doctor I've ever gotten.
asked how he could help...I started to share and 20 seconds later he said, "I have other patients more important than you, wrap it up"... Seems more interested in his higher paying customers. Tried changing my blood pressure medicine to what his pharmaceutical rep wanted him to push, INSTEAD of what works.
I visited Dr. Kiser because I thought he was the Keith Kiser from the Detroit/Saline area, who is a smart, skilled musician, and I thought he had become a doctor.
I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. For my physical, he basically reviewed the questionnaire I filled out and said the nurse would be in to do my labs. He didn't bother checking my joints or anything just read the paperwork and was done. My husband went in just to have lab work ran and there is a new nurse. She seemed nice, said she came from urgent care and was learning the correct way to do things now that she's in family practice (Scary). She drew his blood in which my husband said was way more painful than normal. Later ... read more
Excellent communication skills. His answers are succinct, and he explains rationale for care provided as well as options when patient input is required. He has the ability to be clinical and compassionate at the same time.
My first visit to Dr. Kiser was many years ago when my daughter was only a few months old. We did not have health insurance and she was very sick. I walked into the office and asked if Dr. Kiser would see us and allow private pay. He would and he did. I have never used another Primary Care Physician during my years in Houston. We have been with him for 19 years. He is not a specialist and does not pretend to be. He is always open to discussing treatment and possible side effects of medicine.
