I wish I could give 0 stars. I saw Dr Katz in Dec 2024 to have a spot removed from my face. Dr Katz didn’t think it was anything of concern but removed it anyways. The skin where he removed the spot never healed so I recently saw my GP. She could not find anything in my record from Dr Katz or if the spot was sent to for biopsy. My GP sent me to a different dermatologist to have the spot that wasn’t healed, examined again. The doctor said almost instantly that it looked like Basal Cell Carcinoma. I’ve been seeing Dr Katz for years and I find him and his staff to be professional and very effective. I am really happy with the support I receive from them.
I have been seeing Dr. Katz for over 10 years for my dermatitis herpetiformis, and he has been amazing. I’ve had zero issues over the years. He is always on time, never makes me feel rushed, and takes the time to answer all of my questions (even the ones that might seem silly). He provides clear, thoughtful feedback and truly listens. I would highly recommend Dr. Katz.
I had a referral to see him in July of 2025. He was very good and even knew my previous ( now deceased).dermatologist of whom he spoke very highly of. I am booked to see him in July of 2026. That said , I have developed a concerning issue in December of 2025, prompting me to call his secretary for an appointment. My mother had melanoma I have lots of freckles some abnormal in shape and colour and my family doctor was overwhelmed and wanted to send me to a specialist. I brought my husband to my appointment, upon meeting Dr. Katz he was cold and clinical, which is fine but then he interrupted me while I was speaking and then tossed my arm around while looking at my spots, you definitely don’t get a comfortable feeling in this office.
