My surgery with Dr. Karla O'Dell went far better than I ever expected, I felt extremely comfortable with her and her assistant from the moment I met them, everything was explained very professionally about my upcoming surgery. I was the victim of a billing scam perpetrated by Dr. O'Dell and USC Keck ENT. Dr. O'Dell brought a voice specialist into the examination room BEFORE she had examined me. I thought the specialist (Kacie La Forest) was a student -- I was definitely not told she would be an additional fee. After my laryngoscopy (which I did schedule and gladly paid for), Dr. O'Dell then left me with Ms. La Forest, where I was subjected to a high pressure and unethical upsell of her services.
