My multiple experiences were terrible with Dr. Stolman. She did not listen to or answer any of my questions. She made a diagnosis and rushed through prescribing a cream. I had to keep asking her questions to slow down and explain what was going on with my skin. I asked her to please write it down so I could look up what she was saying and she seemed annoyed and still did not help me understand my appointment. Absolutely the worst!
Very thorough. Appointment was for myself and was with my daughter and she even pointed out some small eczema my daughter has. I definitely recommend Dr. Karen Stolman.
Dr. Stolman had always shown minimal concern for the things I have seen her for. She's always late and really tries to rush through the appointment. At my most recent appointment, she looked at the info her assistant gave her and said, "well, looks like I'll see you in 3 months," and tried to leave. I paid $55, waited for 30+ minutes, and she wasn't even going to talk to me about my skin.
I believe she lacks basic knowledge about face muscles and how those move. She injects filler to get rid of some wrinkles, but creates other wrinkles in unnatural facial areas. She advised me to put some filler in the corners of my mouth, to reduce the creases that form naturally due to smiling. She injected filler slightly above the corners of my mouth, my smiling creases disappeared but the corners of my mouth were lowered and I got new wrinkles from the corners of my mouth down to my chin.
I have been seeing Dr Stohlman for 6 months for acne (accutane) and I would not recommend her to a friend. I felt like she did not care about me as a patient. I always waited a while to see her and then she was in and out in a few minutes. I left my appointments with unanswered questions and confusion about what I should expect next with my skin. Her office staff was hit and miss. Some assistants were unhelpful and messed up my appointments. Others were great and knowledgable.
