I began seeing Dr. Hundemer after being referred to her by a family member. I had talked to her previously when visiting with said family member and found her to be very pleasant, knowledgeable, and what I would call "cool." I have been seeing this doctor for 6 years now and am finally switching doctors. Hundermer has been dismissive of my symptoms, is glued to her laptop as you explain your concerns. I finally saw a specialist who gave me a serious mold allergy. Hundermer has been telling me to use a humidifier these past 6 years. He was shocked, as it has been making my allergies MUCH worse. :(
My sister was unfortunately a patient of Dr. H for many years...when my sister had an accident nearly 3 years ago, she was misdiagnosed and never referred to the appropriate care specialists. My sister was a thriving self sufficient hard working lovely person prior to her accident. I am switching doctors soon. She is a part of the Frederick Primary Care Associates Network of physicians in Frederick, MD and my experience with her and other doctors has been miserable. I have been misdiagnosed three different times by doctors in her practice, and in dealing with Dr. Hundemer, have had to request referrals to specialists to receive any real valuable treatment for my medical issues. I am tired of this physician. Found her to be dismissive after I told her that may hair was falling out because I was having a drug interaction. I had to badger the staff just to get a copy of my records to see an internist. How long does it take to fax a record? Long story short, I had to drive to the office to pick up my records for the new physician. A follow-up with another physician is highly recommended.
Dr. Hundemer was thorough, careful, thoughtful and knowledgable. She helped me in one appointment which is something that my doctor in Rockville could not in over a year.
Both my husband and I see Dr. Hundemer and value her professionalism and experience. She does not give up until she figures out what is going on with me and I love the specialists she refers me to. I always feel like she is sending me to a friend of hers and I instantly feel comfortable with the specialist. I will stick with Dr. H.
After moving here and needing a PCP. I initially went to her for a belly aches pver a 1 yar period. She rarely even examined me just kept referring me to other places. Anyway she had no clue what was wrong with me, she went from blood work to Kidneys to Liver to an Ulcer to Pancreas and back to an Ulcer....real long story short I found another Doctor and I was Diagnosed with Stage III Cancer that she had missed. Ive been told that if she caught my Cancer earlier and before some else did Id still have my Stomach and Esophagus
Couldn't figure out my constant pain, sent me for physical therapy when I had a HUGE tumor on my spine that could have paralyzed me and missed cancer diagnosis. Did become VERY attentive after another dr sent her results as copy, then she got concerned.
