I found Dr. Nia to be very kind and courteous, he answered all my questions and put me at ease. I never felt like he was in a hurry to leave until I was done with him. His staff was also very nice and would recommend Dr. Nia to my friends and family.
I have been going to Dr. Nia for more 15 years. I have had 2 endoscopy procedures and one colonoscopy. His offices are SPOTLESS which is very important to me. Staff very professional. Queens Endoscopy Center, where he did my colonoscopy, is also an excellent and clean facility. Really respect him because he asks so many questions about everything in your life - diet, stress, mood, exercise etc., and he uses medication ONLY when truly necessary. Never feel rushed during a visit.
Shocked at other reviews. He has treated 4 members of my family and is always thorough, caring and personable. He works hard to get things done with our insurance plan - he puts up with so much to be sure patients get what they need. He fought my insurance company to get coverage for a basically life saving drug. He would not give in or compromise the standard of care . I am very lucky to have him as a physician. They just don't make them that anymore.
Worst Doctor ever!!!??
Seemed preoccupied during visit, made comments that were off-putting, not sure if he thought he was funny. I was unsure if he was being sarcastic or sincere. Interactions with staff was stressful. The young lady constantly had a tone of annoyance & was dismissive. I called & asked that he call when he was done with patients for the day, Was told that he is a VERY man & I would need to make an appointment. Felt he was treating my wallet when he prescribing labs/tests (never called with results)
