Wow. LMH is the worst care facility I have ever been to. The doctors seem ok but the administration and nurses don't know what they are doing. My mother saw Dr. Zabel two and a half months ago and was out of heart medication. I spoke to the nurse Friday who said she would call but was clearly annoyed about it. Well she didn't call it in and now it's the weekend. And it is a medication necessary for life. I just had my first new patient appt with Dr. Zabel and his staff. I was called and taken to an exam room within 5 -10 minutes. His nurse and receptionists were kind and welcoming. Dr. Zabel had clearly reviewed my chart prior to my visit. I found him to be kind, very easy to talk to and he truly listened. My first appointment was a very positive experience.
I had the opportunity to shadow Dr. Zabel for a semester, as a student many years ago. Before every case, he would take time to thoroughly evaluate every patient chart and consider key points before meeting with his patients. Every patient was important to Dr. Zabel and he would listen empathetically and carefully to all concerns. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to learn from Dr. Zabel and believe he is a great doctor!
