I had gone to see Dr. Justin Owen for a second opinion on back surgery. He explained to me how he could do a L5/S1 back fusion. He was able to explain to me how the surgery is performed to where I could understand what was going to be done. Dr Owen performed my neck surgery he is a excellent surgeon. Him and his staff are wonderful The day after my surgery I had no pain took it easy for a couple days Second week went camping with the grandkids third week driving No more neck brace All pain that I had before surgery is going my hand and foot is not going numb any more.Avala Hospital and everyone that cared for me was excellent

Dr. Owen is wonderful. I could not stand up straight before surgery because of the pain in my lower back. After surgery there is no pain and I can stand up straight. Wish I had done this earlier.

No one I know looks forward to surgery, but I went into my back surgery confident that I knew what to expect and that I was in competent hands. Prior to my surgery Dr. Owen thoroughly explained my procedure, even drew pictures, and what I could expect postoperatively and during my recovery period. He answered all my questions completely and pleasantly. My surgery was indeed successful and I am pain free. Paige, the nurse practitioner, followed me in post op office visits. I went to Dr. Owen about my back pain. At my office visit he took the time to explain and show my husband and I exactly what was causing me so much pain. There were days I literally could not walk. He spent as much time as needed to explain the options and discuss each in detail. He never made either of us feel rushed or awkward about any of the multiple questions we had. I would not recommend him to anyone. The only thing we both agreed on was no more surgery. I have severe neuropathy in my right front to the point it is dangerous for me to drive. He could not or did not suggest any help for this problem. I was not impressed with this doctor.

Dr. Owen performed a surgery on my 78 year old father's back. He had been suffering in pain for a few years and had tried all of the usual treatments. He finally got some relief thanks to Dr. Owen. He said "I feel like a new man!"

My 92 year old grandmother was very active until her back starting hurting. She tried physical therapy but continued to decline. It was heartbreaking to see this vibrant woman barely able to stand up. Dr. Owen literally gave her instant relief. The day after the surgery, she felt zero pain and was standing completely upright. If I could give him 100 stars, I would! Next up, my 77 year old father. His appointment Is next week!
