My husband was recently at UAB West ER for belly pain and he was the surgeon on call. From the first time we met him he went above and beyond to explain things to us. After the exploratory surgery he discovered my husband had cancer and he was so kind and compassionate when telling me the news. We highly recommend him.

Dr Moellinger had a wonderful bedside manner. He was super sweet and caring when I met him after my emergency appendectomy which was immediately followed by an emergency hysterectomy. I had a ruptured appendix for 3-4 weeks which from what I understand is extremely rare. Straight to the point. He discussed removing part of my intestines with my husband because of the severe case of sepsis I had incurred, but decided to leave them in hard and still infected.
