I don't do this often but had to share my experience with Dr. Portnoy and his staff. Dr. Portnoy shows empathy and compassion and listens to me and my concerns about my health. Dr. Portnoy's staff is exceptional and responsiveness and always friendly.
So, I went to Dr. Portnoy in August, because I had suspicious nodules in my lungs. They were transitory - some were still there at the 2nd CT scan, some had vanished, bigger ones appeared. He asked me about my asthma (I've had it for 15 years) and told me that he thought the nodules and the asthma were due to acid reflux - aspiration of stomach fluid. Even though I have NO symptoms of acid reflux at all. No burning, no heartburn etc. But he insisted that I go to see Dr. Dabit (who he has on speed dial). They chatted and said... read more
Dr. Portnoy is extremely passionate, thorough and knowledgeable in both pulmonary ailments and internal medicine. He takes time with his patients explaining their maladies, recommends next steps, discusses options and refers, when appropriate, the patients to other top notch specialists. I feel Fortunate to have been treated by Dr. Portnoy
Dr. Portnoy is a brilliant pulmonologist and has given me exceptional care over the past few years!!!!
Can’t make an appointment. I’ve waited up to 45 minutes on hold. I have pulmonary hypertension, so seeing a doctor would be great. I give up
