After an EXTREMELY HORRIBLE experience with another hand doctor, which Thank the Lord, I didn’t do what he was wanting to do and found Dr. Bales! He’s done a couple major surgeries on my hands and I’m about to have another big one done and I only trust him. I refer him to anyone that needs hand or risk surgery. That’s for sure!
Dr. Bales is not only an excellent surgeon, he is also a magician. I had been waiting for the medical community to help me with a tumor growing under my thumb nail for 3 months. The day I finally had my consultation with him, he added me to his afternoon schedule and I had same day surgery! He’s knowledgeable, has a great bedside manner, and was able to put my worst fears to rest.
I broke my little finger on my right hand and needed surgery. I was referred to Dr. Bales. That wa a huge mistake. The whole process was a disaster. The Kadlec nurse rolled and blew the vein in my hand so she put the IV insert into my wrist. The anesthesiologist did a bad nerve block which caused issues for months instead of 24 hours. Dr Bales put in an artificial joint but it is oversized so now my finger will not bend. That is a bigger problem than it sounds.
