Pompous. Rude. Short tempered. Rushes though appointments. Horrible horrible experience. Find someone else.
Dr Alvarez is very professional and helpful. He doesn’t have to check who you are in the computer because he knows every patient and treated them with kind. As Dr and as a human being 10/10 100% recommended
Dr. Alvarez is the best there is in Miami. Dr Alvarez was trained in New York and provides the most wonderful care. I would highly recommend!

I went for depression and he tried to push unnecessary antipsychotics (resperidone, and then Seroquel) onto me and claimed that its a mood stabilizer i will need to be on my whole life. He also diagnosed me with PTSD which I dont suffer at all from. This is all from just ONE visit. He doesnt care about your mental health, he wants to get you hooked on serious medications and claim that you'll need to be on them forever. I highly highly highly DO NOT RECCOMEND HIM.
Never, how dare him call himself a psychiatrist. No patient interaction, very unattentive to patients needs.
