Dr. Gonzalez saved a loved one's life by performing an extremely intensive, extremely emergent surgery. Prior to his involvement the situation was about as dire as it could be. He will forever have a special place in our hearts for what he's done for our family.
I elected not to proceed with the surgery one week before the scheduled revision. The reason for this decision was that the surgeon significantly changed his approach to the procedure. What was originally described as an overnight stay became a three-stage surgery.
