Went to Ophthalmology Associates and got a referral to this office for possible retnoscisis in right eye. Before I left the office they told me I would get a call for scheduling.After waiting a month I tried calling them, waited on hold for approx 20 min and then I had something to take care of so I would try again the following day, so I did and waited 30 min before being hung up on. Get a second opinion! I went to him a few decades ago. He said I had retinal detachment in both eyes. He did the surgery on one eye and now I'm blind in that eye. He insisted I needed surgery in the other but I got a second opinion with no changes occuring to the eye. As of now over 20 years later my untouched eye is perfectly fine. I was even told by a different doctor that it healed. Unbelievable! I question if I even had it in the first place. I've also driven a few other people who he had operated on. They're all blind n... read more
Retinal detachment is a pretty horrible experience, Dr. Hershey made it as easy as possible. My insurance company didn't cover a part of the bill and his office advocated for me and got it covered. Great doctor and support staff!
