Dr. C diagnosed my very rare eye disase 11 years ago. He, on his own, made plans for me to get second opinions to be sure he was correct, and the second opinions were with real experts in the field. Another doctor had misdiagnosed me. Dr. C is personable, people who work in the office are great, and they can be very comforting when I'm nervous and upset about my eye disease. They are doing everything they can to save my sight. I wouldn't see anyone else.
Let me just say that this business is in one of the safest areas around and you will be pleasantly surprised at how lovely the surroundings are. I've already told my friends and family about the fantastic experience I had there. They definitely care about patient comfort because they have the best waiting room chairs I've ever seen, I felt like I was floating on a cloud. I could have easily dozed off while waiting to see the ophthalmologist.
This doctor is a miracle and I've seen enough docs to know the difference. In Nov 2007, I called his office in Ponchatoula, LA and complained of a headache and blindness in the right eye. I was given an appointment for minutes later. Dr. Couvillion got on the phone with 3 other doctors and the hospital and had me admitted within an hour. He found that the blindness was due to a tumor in my brain the size of a grapefruit. Since that time, I have seen him numerous times.
