I feel strongly that if patients have placed their trust in me for their care, I have a great responsibility to spend the time, energy, personal resources and care to come up with an accurate diagnosis and ultimate successful treatment. Whenever possible, it is my personal conviction that the most minimally invasive treatment is for the best. I hurt my knee playing basketball, and went to the Med Center ER, where I was told that I HAD to see the Med Center orthopedist. ( I later found out was NOT true). I saw the Med Center doctor, who told me that my multiple ligament injury was "too complex" and that I was going to be referred to UK in Lexington. I knew that Dr. Burch was team doc for WKU athletes, and had taken care of Courtney Lee. He did my surgery, and I've done fantastic. I was just released by Dr. Burch for full sports.
Dr. Burch II, MD is undoubtedly the finest doctor I have ever met and worked with! One afternoon I discovered a cyst had developed on the back of my right knee. I was able to get an appointment almost immediately. Dr. Burch examined the cyst, explained how this "baker's cyst" developed & what our options were. This exam & discussion time took about 30 mins. Dr. Burch was happy to answer all questions and concerns without any pressure to hurry. The cyst recently disappeared. Hooray!
I absolutely love Dr. Burch ! He is caring and compassionate and always has a smile on his face! My whole family has been to him it seems, and all have had very good results. I would recommend him to anyone.
