Romine knew nothing about an off-lable medication another neurologist has prescribed for my condition and refused to renew my prescription. He said it was based on speculation, but he had no recommendations of his own. Even if this use is ill advised, he should have been aware of it and advised me appropriately. Apparently not willing to think out of the box when there are no standard treatments.
I would never recommend Dr. Ronnie. He didn't follow up on a test that my oncologist recommended and never arranged for any follow up visits. Turns out I had an auto immune disease that he never diagnosed because he didn't think a biopsy was necessary even though I originally came to him for such a test.
Dr. Romine was unable to determine the cause of my muscle problems, but he is a very compassionate and determined physician. He ran many tests before finally deciding that he didn't know what was wrong and is of the highest caliber among the many doctors I have consulted.
Stay away! Totally misdiagnosed my case. Fortunately,,I had a PPO and found a competent neurologist outside of Scripps. He leads a very weak team.
