Not much personality, but I guess I'm not paying for personality. Dismissive. Judgemental, i would imagine doctors who have made up their minds to treatment before actually meeting the patient are more likely to miss things. He wasnt open minded. Clearly hadn't read my file from doctor that referred me. Contradicted info my neurologist and rheumatologist have already given me based on spending about 5 minutes with me. He is pompous and rather rude.
Was sent to Dr Dolan to have EMG testing done by my PCP. He went on to lecture me on those doctors just dont even know what EMG testing is for. He gave me a 5 minute physical exam and sent me on my way. Its been two years since this appointment and I finally had EMG testing done which was abnormal to say the least. If Dr Dolan had given me a real exam and been say a "Dr" I would not have needlessly suffered for two years.
I saw Dr Dolan for symptoms related to MS. He did not do a physical exam and offered gabapentin almost immediately. The whole appointment lasted 10 minutes and 5 of those were spent trying to convince me to take a drug. NO PHYSICAL EXAM how can you prescribe medication without even giving a physical exam. The office refused to allow me to see the other neurologist in the practice. So Im waiting for another referral now. Avoid this Dr at all costs.
I was seen by Dr. Dolan twice, once in 2013 and again recently, the first time I wont even mention what his inappropriateness was, since it has been years, then again I don't think there is a statute of limitations on these things. But this time, he did not hear a word I said, typed on the computer all the time. Refused to listen to my concerns for MY HEALTH. And then tells me one thing and my PCP another. I saw Dr Dolan for continual nerve pain in my foot. I have never seen a doctor try and wash his hands of someone so quickly. His immediate response was I had a nerve problem in my lower back. When I explained I had had a MRI and been seen by a back specialist he huffed about it. He finally reviewed my MRI and agreed I didn't have a pinched nerve or any restriction. Mr. Dolan refused to followup with a referral he wrote that was rejected. Multiple attempts to contact his office via phone and email were ignored or I was told he was working on it. This continued for about 4 weeks then he refused to return phone calls or emails. I would strongly suggest going to a different neurologist.
Would not recommend this Doctor at all. Do not WASTE YOUR TIME. He totally misdiagnosed my mother in-law and spent a whopping 10 minutes for a neurological evaluation. The worst physician I've seen....
I never recommend this doctor. In all the years I have been to him he doesn't even examine and put his hands on me to examine anything. Just offers drugs and goes out the door. No bedside manner at all.
Dr. Dolan was very kind, funny and competent. He did a great job treating my son. I would highly recommend him.
