I really miss having Dr Koomen as my Dr. Haven't felt the same since i've stop seeing him. I hope he's enjoying retirement. He deserves it.
My life has improved 100% since the first time I visited his office.
On my first visit, I was asked how I felt about seeing Dr. Halder. I said I had reservations because I've not had any good experience with a psychiatrist. I said they are all pill pushers & get patients in & out quickly with prescriptions. I had two previous zoom sessions with Dr. Halder where he suggested I added another medication & I refused saying that I would like help understanding my anxiety and don't want to add another pill to the Lexapro I am already taking. Dr. Koomen is a wonderful Dr. that I have been seeing for years now. He goes above and beyond to do what he can do for you!! Thank you Dr. Koomen for what you do!!!
My daughter and son have been patients of Dr. Halder since he began at Centerstone. He is verykind, understanding, knowledgeable and helpful. He has helped both of my kids with addressing life choices above and beyond just purely prescribing medication. He truly cares about them and is approachable and they really respect him. During my daughters admission process for residential psych care, he was able to address any concerns. I could not ask for a better psychiatrist for my children.
The nurse said he'd spend about 45 min with me. After five min of talking AT ME, he just wanted to send me to the hospital. Told him I wanted to try anxiety meds, but I have two babies so couldn't take anything that'll knock me out. Xanax works for me, but he "doesn't prescribe benzos". He gave me Remeron. Had to call off work in the am, slept until 2, and still feel severely dizzy. He rushed me through the process and now I still don't have medicine I can take.
Was very uncaring. Basically spent no time with my child given the situation and he actually said I do not have time for this let us walk out without any resolution
