Very aggressive call screeners. I am a 15 year patient with Dr R. The last time I had this sports injury I was refused an appointment. This time I got in, after arguing. The call screeners imply that sports injuries are not within the scope of orthopedic practice. What medical professional should I call? Physical therapist? General surgeon? Does this meet the definition of patient abandonment?

I was so glad to see that Dr. Racanelli did shoulders as well as knees. My experience with my knee surgery was amazingly good so I have a lot of faith in this doctor.

I've been putting off a needed knee surgery for awhile. I saw Dr. Racanelli about a painful flare-up. He went over my x-ray and impressed upon me the seriousness of my condition and the need for surgery. With his clear explanation, straight talk, and sense of humor, he convinced me to get serious and take care of my knee.

Dr. Racanelli had treated my daughter and husband with their knee issues in the past. The office was very efficient. He was very good having read my pre appointment information about my issue. He checked it out, asked good questions and recommended a conservative course of action with a follow up appointment. A very positive experience.
