Went to Dr. O Niell for my first OB-GYN appointment. Do not do the same. Even after saying I was very nervous and asking her to explain what she's doing, it felt like she rushed through the exam and did not listen to me. I told her I wasn't interested in an IUD, but she went on explaining the details of how they work, the procedure, etc etc. She shamed my birth control practices. She dismissed my concerns over PMDD (which was later diagnosed by mental health professional), saying that 'everyone gets grumpy on their period'. ... read more
I went for my first visit with a obgyn. I told her I had a history of extreme pain episodes and she told me, 'If it was that bad you would have gone to the ER.' I have different doctors now and have been diagnosed with endometriosis. Save yourself time and find a doctor who will actually listen to you and address your concerns.
Great OBGYN. I have been with her through two childbirths. She explains things thoroughly and always provides thoughtful and honest answers to my questions. She has four kids so she is very realistic about pregnancy and childbirth from her own experience!!
When your adult daughter calls you and is sobbing for the way she was treated by her OBGYN, something needs to be done.
Dr O'Neill was on call when I delivered my baby. She was honestly great. I felt that she listened to me, and she was very straight forward and honest. She takes her job very seriously and I felt safe in her care during my delivery.
Very rude and very unempathetic. Disgraceful for being a health care provider. She spent 10 minutes breading me for asking a simple question that she could have just said no to. Ended our conversation sick and in tears which is awful for any patient let alone someone pregnant and also in the health care field. Does not belong working with patients.
Dr. O’Neill was my obgyn for 10+ years. Being young and healthy, I was in and out annually for my pap and it didn’t really bother me that she was short with me or rushed, because I didn’t have any concerns. However, when the time came that I did have questions or concerns, not only was she not a good listener - she spoke over me, and was unwilling to answer me directly. Dr O'Neill is great. She's direct and straightforward while still listening and being compassionate. She is not at all condescending (which is my greatest complaint with some doctors) and will explain things simply and efficiently.
I had a procedure with her that was traumatizing. Not only was I in pain, but she was chastising me while she was performing the procedure which made me feel very vulnerable and ashamed. No woman should feel that way with her doctor.
