My family is very grateful for the excellent care given my husband when he was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. Dr. Lamon and his staff treated Bob 2008-2011. That was 3 amazing years of life to be with his family. No, Dr. Lamon is not very "touchy-feely" as one review stated; however, he is an excellent oncologist and is open and honest with his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Lamon and Southwest Cancer Center in Escondido.
Dr. JOEL M LAMON MD is pretty much arrogant and rude and after 2 visits with him I decided to see different doctor. I am happy I did. I decided to stay v cCare and just went to different location since I was not satisfied about the front desk either at 16918 Dove Canyon Road San Diego, CA 92127 ,,,while we where waiting we heard clear and loud diagnoses and other private stuff about some other patient,,
I am a 51 yo Female, Oncology Nurse Practitioner, I was Diagnosed with Breast cancer stage III in 2006. I was referred to Dr.Lamon, and absolutely blessed I was. He is aboslutely the best, I can say this has a patient and professional. He may not always be "touchy feeling" But he has your best interest at heart. He is the best in the field. I truly believe he saved my life. I also had a second opinion at UCSD which was not in my best interest. I continue to see him every 6 months and I am cancer free for now 7 years.
