I went to Dr. Max specifically because of his skill and no nonsense approach. He is personable enough and was efficient with the removal of a sebaceous cyst on my scalp. 20 minutes, 7 stitches and it was gone. Very caring and ensured my comfort during the procedure. Thank you Dr. Max!
I was referred to Dr. Max for a full body skin exam, treatment for hair loss and removal of a pre-cancerous spot on my lip. My primary care doc urged me to have the body exam because I am fair skinned, have sun damage, have vitiligo, and a family history of skin cancer. Dr. Max's assistant asked me to take off all of my clothes except my underwear and gave me a paper blanket--in other words I was prepped for the exam. This man is living proof that one only needs to know 2 things to be a dermatologist; if it's wet make it dry and if it's dry make it wet. A shallow, uncompassionate, poor excuse of a doctor.
Dr. Max has zero bedside manners. He's cold, disinterested & does a half-a$$Ed examination. I had a 9:15 AM appointment and waited over an hour for him to arrive. I was there for a full body exam and had a list of skin conditions I needed to discuss with him from previous diagnoses. I'm a fair skinned, freckled redhead - literally his target market, and with all if that, he spent less than 10 minutes with me and left. I highly recommend that you find someone else.
Dr. Max took 5 minutes to “check” my entire body; I have had great experiences with dermatologist but since I moved to Timonium I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Max. He was more concerned about cosmetics products than my screening exam. Never again!
Dr Max may not be the warmest, friendliest person, but my experiences with him have been cordial and professional. I’m not there to make friends. More important to me is that the office respects that my time is valuable and they don’t overbook. I’ve never waited more than a few minutes to be seen; and that, to me, is huge.
Dr. Max changed my life. He has been my dermatologist for years, and I'm so glad some family members recommended him to me. He is the first dermatologist who has been able to permanently and effectively treat my severe acne and cystic acne, and he's done such a good job that friends, family, even my doctor is surprised I even had the condition. I've known Dr. Max for many years. He's seen me many times - typically at least once a year, although this year's visit probably won't happen due to COVID. I certainly wouldn't ever thinking of seeing another doctor whenever I schedule a dermatology exam in either the Baltimore or Westminster area. While other reviewers have found Dr. Max a bit short, I have found that he's usually quite willing to socialize a bit during our visits.
