Dr. Lilly treated me for a serious urological problem. Dr, Lilly performed a relatively difficult robotically assisted surgical procedure on me and achieved an extraordinarily good result. Dr. Lilly offered me alternative treatments for my condition and encouraged a second opinion. Not only is Dr. Lilly a highly skilled physician and surgeon, he is an excellent communicator, has a great sense of humor and is humble. I am fortunate to have been treated by Dr. Lilly and highly recommend him.
This past year I received a diagnosis of prostate cancer and started looking for a Seattle surgeon to perform a Robotic Prostatectomy. After a lot of research on different urologists, my primary doctor revealed to me that he had undergone the procedure himself and highly recommended HIS surgeon - Dr. Joel Lilly. From our first meeting, through the surgery, and now almost a year of follow-up, Dr. Lilly has been unfailing open, caring and utterly professional. I can't recommend him more highly.
Due to an abnormal PSA I made an appointment with Dr. Joel Lilly and he diagnosed me with malignant prostate cancer. Dr Lilly discussed the treatment options and we decided to proceed with a robotic prostatectomy with nerve sparing. I had minimal post-op pain and no incontinence. At my 6 week post-op visit my PSA had dropped to a negligible level. Dr. Lilly saved my life without affecting my quality of life! Dr. Lilly will guide you through the best treatment in a professional and caring manner.
If you want a great urologist, I suggest Dr. Joel Lilly M.D. He is very experienced and has much knowledge of prostate cancer. He gives you the best advice and care for your health. I know this because I have serious prostate cancer. For the last four years his treatments and watchfulness has kept me healthy and my PSA has gone from being very high to non detectable. I have been seeing Dr. Lilly for about 10 years for various urologic issues. Over that time he has performed two surgeries and several minor procedures on me and provided care and advice on several issues. The results have been uniformly excellent. His advice and predictions of outcomes have consistently been correct. He is attentive to my concerns and is excellent at "reading" my unstated concerns. And as a bonus he has a great sense of humor. Quite simply, he is first rate.
Please go to see him if you want to see a doctor without any bedside manner. He works at Minor and James at Swedish in Seattle where they have very inappropriate policy regarding billings in order to generate more cash flow for their business. Very unethical!!
