I have been a patient of Dr. Meyers for almost three years, and she has consistently been courteous, attentive, and responsive to my medical needs. At one point, I sought outside treatment for my thyroid when she did not feel medication was necessary based on my lab results. She began my appointment by looking at me and saying "I'm not really sure why you're here", so I knew immediately how this was going to go. She said my thyroid lab looked normal and was not "low enough", even though my PCP said it was low and referred me. She spends her time googling medications and stares at her laptop screen and is very unhelpful. She never once looked at me, didn't want to answer any questions and it was the worst experience I ever had. I never went tack.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. As a patient who has been symptomatic for 2–3 years and in need of specialized care, I am deeply disappointed by my experience with Dr. Jocelyn Meyers’ office at Carolina Health Specialists. Despite being referred three times by another physician who stressed the importance of seeing an endocrinologist, I was repeatedly denied an appointment because my “levels are in range” on recent labs.
