One of the most bizarre phone calls I've ever had with a medical office. The staff repeatedly asked how I found the doctor, seemingly unaware that we live in the age of the internet where such information is public. I explained I was seeking an opinion and possible treatment, only to be told, “We are not providing second opinions”—a confusing and concerning response, especially for complex cases that often require multiple expert perspectives. Dr. Borg Stein is meticulously thorough physician who really listens to her patients. She is smart and has a gentle sense of humor though she is very serious about her work. She is cautious and turns over every stone... I feel very grateful to be in such skilled hands. If people find fault because she is too busy for small talk that is unfair. She is kind, caring and genuine. Also extremely busy because she is in such high demand.
Dr Borg-Stein is a kind, caring, well spoken, informed, informative and has a deep abiding love of medicine. Combine those traits with her need to help others and you have one of THE BEST and affective doctors you could ever dream of!
Was able to see him during covid . His staff was amazing accommodating my crazy work schedule (mbta) . We did 3 steroid injections that did not last to he put me in touch with an amazing surgeon . he also notified me that two medications (completely irrelevant ) to each other would cause me to be sleepy n groggy . Excellent care, took time to listen and took a thorough history. Dr. Borg-Stein seemed to really care and want to help. The doctor was incredibly knowledgeable, patiently answering all my questions, even the ones that were slightly off topic (can you tell me about the history of the treatment). 14/10
D Shinchuk is aloof, arrogant and uncommunicative. Quick in and out visit. Much overrated.
At the recommendation of a friend, I recently saw Dr. Borg-Stein for a second opinion re: a variety of musculoskeletal issues. In this initial consultation, Dr. Borg-Stein spent over an hour with me learning about my concerns, reviewing and discussing my imaging, examining me, performing an ultrasound, describing her recommendations, and thoroughly addressing my questions. Dr. Borg Stein has been handling my Achilles tendon Tendinosis as well as providing management, leadership and consultation regarding other health challenges I am currently experiences. This was a follow up visit to report on my progress while I have been dealing with multiple issues. Dr. Joanne Borg Stein is the most amazing, compassionate doctor I have ever had. She has helped me with her knowledge as well as her cutting edge treatments including medical acupuncture, PRP and Lipo fat transfer. I would highly recommend her!!
