While Dr. Swaringen specializes in sports medicine, she enjoys working with patients of all ages with their Orthopaedic ailments. Her approach is to establish a trusting relationship with the patient and to take time to help them understand their condition. In her office, the first line of treatment is almost always non-operative, taking a conservative approach to a treatment plan and respecting the patient s wishes.

Great, on time, and caring. Took time to listen to me and explain all my options. Consistently a great experience and I owe my tennis game (good and bad) to Dr. Sawringen keeping me on the court!
I have had several conditions treated by Dr. Swaringen. I broke my ankle in two places 8/2011 Her care was excellent, compassionate, attentive and on target. She took the time to answer all of my questions. Despite the severity of the breaks, with her care, my ankle healed w/o surgery. In 2/2013, I broke my wrist. Again, I received excellent, compassionate care and my wrist healed w/o surgery. I developed carpal tunnel syndrome and had surgery 6/15, I am 100% better thanks to Dr. Swaringen!
Went to dr. Swaringen twice. Brought X-rays. She wanted me to take more X-ray in her office, and sent me for Mri . After second visit she said I had a tear and bulging disk that was causing my pain. Sent me for physical therapy. She makes you feel very rushed and she doesn't seem like a compassionate dr. As for her diagnosis, the physical therapist and the second opinion I received from another orthopedic surgeon was totally inconsistent with her evaluation. I am now treated for hip problems.
I saw her awhile back for a tear to my right shoulder (based on radiology report) after reading the report herself she informed me that the tear was insignificant and basically nonexistent & treated me like I was wasting her time. I literally broke down in tears because I felt hopeless at that point w no answers & still in severe pain, & she looked at me very frustrated & said well, there's nothing I can do for you and walked out of her office. I will never forget that experience. Disgusting!
Because of Dr. Swaringen's medical negligence, I was hospitalized with life threatening blood clots in both of my lungs. After knee surgery at my follow up appointment, I told her my symptoms - which were tell tale signs of blood clot development post surgery - and she completely dismissed my symptoms saying they had nothing to do with the surgery.
