Dr. Almonte-Gonzalez is the best you will find in The Valley. Her bedside manner is outstanding. You never feel rushed. She listens to your concerns/questions regarding your pregnancy, and puts your mind at ease by always having a plan of action.
She's very knowledgeable, but RUDE! So if you want a doctor that knows but just that, she'll be your perfect doctor. (Not for me) The wait time is between 1-2 hours so be prepared! Staff is really nice, but you spend more time waiting to see the Dr. Than the time you spend with her... Not cool.
She's very knowledgable and knows her job, but she's very unprofessional and rude!! Her attitude is awful. Humiliates her patients and then tries sugar coating it after she realizes how she talks to them! Not professional at all!!

Dr. Was very nice and helpful. The wait time and staff not giving information about wait time negates visit. Two visits and the wait was over 1 1/2 hours. My time is just a valuable.
She helped my daughter understand how important it is to take care of herself. She was able to tell my daughter things that I could not say. My daughter listened.
Dr Almonte is very knowledgeable, yet she is very friendly and explains things in a way I can understand. She always takes her time with me and I feel very comfortable talking to her about my "female problems." Her staff are also very friendly and on top of things. I highly recommend this doctor. I travel all the way from Harlingen to see her.
Dr. Almonte performed my hysterectomy using the laparoscopy technique. She explained the procedure in a way I could understand and answered all my questions. I was so happy with my recovery. I was so happy to have her use this approach when another doctor had told me I needed a big incision.
I took my birthplan to Dr. Almonte and she was very respectful of my preferences and told me what was medically possible and what was not. I was so relieved she was truthful with me. So many people told me what I needed to do with my pregnancy, and the internet is full of "advice" of the right thing to do. I am so glad I found Dr. Almonte to clear it all up for me.
