The indifference and incompetence of this man is proportional to his grossly excessive ego and salary of $1 million + at a “nonprofit “ institution. After two fusions that each created new problems, I was advised to go to him for a consultation. Fishgrund totally missed the complication that apparently arises in 10% of SI joint fusions, which is that they are fused at the wrong angle resulting in a pelvis torsion as well as a functional leg length discrepancy. Great surgeon and wonderful bedside manner. He followed my progress and was easily accessible. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!
I had Dr Fishgrund operate on my neck in 2019. It was my second neck surgery. It was a fabulous experience. The relief was incredible. He has also operated on my son, and one of my oldest friends. They too were amazed at the results. The Doctor is truly amazing!
It’s difficult to review the doctor since he can’t be bothered to see you but send in assistants instead. Rude and dismissive ones at that! The E R at Royal Oak Beaumont insisted I followup right away and recommended Dr. Fischgrund. They canceled the first appointment because he decided to go out of town. The assistant when I finally got another appointment was rude and dismissive. There are plenty of doctors who really care for the patient, this doctor is not one of them.
